- Rev. Daniel Merz is a forth generation Missouri Synod pastor with family roots in Montana and Washington. He finished grade school in Bellingham, WA and after three years of college baseball in Yakima, WA and Odessa, TX he graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in music.
- He is a 2016 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He served a parish in NW New Jersey from 2016-2020. He is currently a Ph.D student at the Institute of Lutheran Theology (Brookings, SD) focusing on Christian Ethics.
- He is an amateur carpenter and homesteader. In addition to his duties as a pastor, he is passionate about catechizing his wife and children, coaching baseball, hunting, and hiking.
- He and his wife are blessed with four children.
- He was installed as pastor of Emmaus Lutheran Church on 23 August A+D 2020.
